The company, a developer of advanced security, communication and surveillance systems, was recognised for its concerted efforts to combat climate change and promote equal opportunity.+ Petards Rail was named winner of the coveted ‘Alstom’s Fighting Climate Change SME Award’, beating out 125 other suppliers that took part in an engagement exercise run by Alstom and the Supply Chain Sustainability School. The company’s win was one among nine awards given to companies that demonstrated extraordinary commitment to social causes such as improving health and wellbeing, tackling social inequality, and promoting equal opportunities – all in alignment with the UK Government’s Social Value Model.+ Upon announcing the award, the jury commended Petards Rail’s strong policy and CSR commitment. The company’s KPIs, which were externally validated by EcoVadis - a globally recognised assessment platform that attentively rates business’s sustainability, were pointed out as strong attributes.
