Elite Managers Alvaro Garrido, Darrell Ryman, Roberto Hoornweg, and Benjamin Hung Have Strengthened Their Stake in Standard Chartered
In a striking display of confidence, leading figures in Standard Chartered PLC, a FTSE 100 company, have substantially increased their stakes in the firm. Alvaro Garrido and Darrell Ryman, both Interim Group Chief Operating Officers; Roberto Hoornweg, Co-Head of Corporate & Investment Banking; and Benjamin Hung, President International, have executed series of transactions to reinvest their dividends into owning more shares of the company.
Each participated in a dividend reinvestment initiative, held in a Computershare nominee Share Plan Account, which operates per pre-agreed terms and conditions. The shares purchased are Ordinary Shares priced at £11.573 each. Garrido procured 694 shares, Ryman bought 510, Hoornweg acquired 9,753, and Hung did not disclose the number of shares he bought.
While not an unusual practice, it’s an encouraging sign for investors that those at the helm are willing to tie their fortunes even closer to the company. The increased shareholding by these top managers demonstrates their belief in the company’s future and suggests a bright outlook for Standard Chartered PLC.
