The SDIC Power Holdings Co., Ltd., a major player in the energy industry, reported the first-quarter operating results for the year 2025. In the period under review, the company witnessed a slightly reduced performance in the power market.
According to preliminary data, the firm’s domestic holding corporations completed a gross electricity generation of about 38.992 TWh and a net generation of roughly 38.103 TWh in Q1 2025. Both figures marked a decrease from the same period the previous year, dipping by 1.55% and 1.04%, correspondingly.
Furthermore, the average on-grid tariff of the company’s domestic holding ventures stood at 0.355RMB per kWh in the first quarter of 2025. Notably, this represented an 8.25% fall in comparison to the same period in the prior year.
Contrarily, wind power generation showed a modest annual increase, credited to the successful commissioning of multiple projects. Despite these promising advances in renewable energy generation, the company said it did not commission any new power generation units during the first quarter.
