African Mining Company Marula Mining PLC Confirms First Revenue from Copper Concentrate Sales
Marula Mining PLC has officially confirmed the receipt of its initial revenue generated from copper concentrate sales originating from the Kinusi Copper Mine located in Tanzania’s Dodoma Region. The successful commencement of payments signifies a noteworthy accomplishment for the African-focused mining and development company. The confirmation follows an initial delay in payments that were due for the trial shipment of copper concentrates announced back in March 2025. The company has reportedly received full sales receipts for the first haul, which totalled approximately 50 tonnes. This initial delivery was part of a larger scheduled 250-tonne shipment. The price realised for the copper concentrate sales was completely concurrent with Marula Mining’s budgeted level, placing the company in a robust financial position. Further deliveries are continuously being made to complete the first shipment and the corresponding sales receipts are still flowing in. A second shipment of material from Kinusi has been advised by Takela Mining Tanzania, who operate the mine site. This shipment is to be delivered to a European-based global commodities group and forms part of a planned 1,000-tonne operation. Significantly, this series of sales is a crucial element of the process of finalising a long-term offtake agreement for the planned production of copper concentrates. This ambitious plan is set to feature a blend of processes such as coarse jigging and fines dewatering circuit and the production of copper cathodes from the phase 2 heap leach circuit and copper solvent extraction. Marula Mining’s triumphant sales update is a representation of their aggressive expansion plans across Central and Southern Africa. Their strategy to invest in high-value mining projects that provide substantial returns for shareholders is clearly paying off. The management team has high aspirations to establish Marula as a reputable and profitable producer of critical metals required in modern technologies, and the recent financial success from the copper concentrate sales substantially supports this vision.
