Mineral Giant Glencore Reveals Its Payments to Governments Report for 2024, Meeting Disclosure Obligations

Published: 17 Jun 2025
Glencore PLC, a leading global diversified natural resource company, has recently published its Payments to Governments Report for the year ended 31st December 2024.

Glencore PLC, one of the world’s largest diversified natural resource companies, has taken an affirmative step towards transparency. They recently released their Payments to Governments Report for 2024. As mandated by the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 4.3A R and 6.3.5 R, the document explicitly reveals the company’s payments made to various governments in the concluded year. The report can be accessed from the company’s website while a copy will soon be available for inspection via Financial Conduct Authority’s National Storage Mechanism.

Unreserved in its endeavours, Glencore is a pinnacle in the energy sector, contributing to the everyday life of countless individuals. It is a significant producer and marketer of over 60 commodities, particularly those that foster decarbonisation while catering to the present energy requirements.

Embracing corporate responsibility, Glencore is a member of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights and the International Council on Mining and Metals. The company actively participates in the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative and remains committed to aiding the global endeavour in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.

While the newly unveiled report empowers shareholders with critical information, it is not exhaustive and does not try to fulfil that objective. It stands as the company’s annual data-focused rendezvous with transparency, not as a substitute for comprehensive analyses of the company’s performance and prospect.
