Mandarin Oriental International Ltd has presented an optimistic Q1 2025 report, announcing strong growth and exciting global expansions.

With a touch of the orient and a flair for luxury, Mandarin Oriental International Ltd, a titan in the hospitality industry, has started the year 2025 on a robust note with increases in revenue, profitability, and global expansion. The group’s Q1 2025 report exuded high spirits, presenting a picture of a company laser-focused on long-term value creation and growth.

Laurent Kleitman, the Group Chief Executive, attributed this solid start to a ‘clear vision, strategy, and sharpened focus’ alongside a persistent endeavor to provide ’exceptional, brand-led, guest-centric experiences’. Not only has the group reported higher Revenue per Available Room (a key performance indicator in the hotel industry) globally, but also witnessed a boost in market share, thereby marking early victories in the year.

Accelerating its growth agenda, the group has announced two new management agreements in Q1 for a luxury resort in Puerto Rico and a hotel in Suzhou, China, both promising unique experiences rooted in local culture and stunning scenery. Further strengthening its European presence, the group opened a second property in Paris and launched its maiden venture in Amsterdam, The Conservatorium Hotel, targeted for complete rebranding in 2026.

Keeping its commitment to outstanding guest experiences high on the priority list, the group unveiled significant investment plans for its flagship hotels in Hong Kong and Bangkok in April. Recognition of this dedication came with the awarding of three Michelin stars to Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. In addition, the group’s mixed-use commercial redevelopment project, One Causeway Bay in Hong Kong, is on budget and schedule for completion in H2 2025.
